The John-Marie House is a historic early 1900's 3 bedroom 2 bath cottage.  It's prime location is a 9 minute walk to the Oxford Courthouse Square, a 6 minute walk to Rowan Oak (antebellum home of William Faulkner) and a 25 minute picturesque stroll to the Grove through the Oxford Historic District. The single story home features a large front porch and 1800 square feet of interior living space with hardwood floors through out. You enter into the open concept living, dining and kitchen area.

The John-Marie House's restoration was completed in October of 2017. The entire house features quartz and marble counters, stainless appliances, ship lap feature walls, 4 flat screen smart tv's and original art.

Each bedroom includes a king size bed with white designer bedding and flatscreen tv.

The cozy Writer's Room offers a private designated work space for the business traveler. Wireless internet is provided.

The laundry room includes a vintage sink and a new full size washer and dryer.

Off street monitored parking for 3 vehicles is provided.

Convenient check-in! Drive to the home and use a code that we provide only to you.

The owners moved their young family to Oxford, MS in 1972.  They are very active in the Oxford community and love sharing their knowledge of the area with their guests.

The John-Marie House is a full time rental. It is quaint, cozy, beautiful and ready for your memories.

House Rules

• Check-in 4:00 PM / Check-out 11:00 A.M.

• Max occupancy: 6

• Minimum age of primary renter: 32 yrs

• Minimum age of guests: 15 yrs

• Absolutely no parties, events or gatherings allowed. Strictly enforced.

• Absolutely no pets allowed

• No smoking shall be permitted on the Premises (including the porch)

• Children and young adults under the age of 25 shall not be permitted on the Premises unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent for the duration of the Term. The house is not childproof so 15 years is the minimum age allowed.

2024 Rates

• 2 night minimum stay

• Standard Rate $550 per week night . $700 per night Thursday - Saturday

Please contact us for SPECIAL EVENT rates (Ole Miss football weekends, Ole Miss Baseball regional tournament, Ole Miss graduation, Double Decker Art Festival, Holidays -  $800 - $2000.00 per night)   

• Cleaning Fee : $150

• Damage Deposit: $500

• Tax Rate: 9%

A rental contract will be emailed to you to confirm a reservation and a copy of driver license is required.  50% of total fees is due at the time of the confirmation of the reservation and the balance is due 4 weeks prior to the arrival date.   

We accept personal checks or payment through PayPal (account not required). 

Cancellation  -  (We strongly suggest that guest purchase travel insurance - CFAR - Cancel for any reason insurance)

• 100% refund less $250 if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.

• No refund if cancelled less than 60 days before arrival date.
