Tucked away in Oxford’s Historic District, (10 min. walk to the Oxford Square) this unique property nestled in the woods for privacy and space to spread out, invites you to sit back on your wrap around deck. (This property shares a parking court with it's 3 bedroom sister property, The John Marie House.

The Josephine House is a fully restored, 2 bedroom 2 bath cottage. The single story home features a large private side deck and 1,200 sq. feet of living space. The home offers an open living area with floor to ceiling windows, old ceiling beams and shiplap walls. The main living area has comfy seating for 6, 55 inch smart tv and original art.

The beautiful kitchen is a pleasure to work in with its spacious island with seating for 4, granite counter tops, and all new, full size stainless appliances. It is equipped with a Keurig coffee maker, large selection of pots and pans, dinnerware, and eating utensils. A full size washer and dryer are located in the adjoining laundry room.

Each bedroom includes a king size bed, white bedding, 50 inch flat screen TV, and closet space.

Adjoining the master bedroom is a tiled bathroom with a large walk-in shower. A second bath just off the main hallway, has a full size tub/shower. The 2nd bedroom is entered off of the main hallway and also has a private entry into the 2nd bath as well. Guests are provided with towels, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hairdryer.

The Josephine House has off street, monitored parking for 2 vehicles.

House Rules

• Check-in 4:00 PM / Check-out 11:00PM

• Max occupancy: 4

• Minimum age of primary renter: 32 yrs

• Minimum age of guests: 15 yrs

• Absolutely no parties, gatherings or events allowed - strictly enforced.

• Absolutely no pets allowed

• No smoking shall be permitted on the Premises (including the porch)

• Children and young adults under the age of 25 shall not be permitted on the Premises unless accompanied by an adult guardian or parent for the duration of the Term. The house is not childproof so 15 years is the minimum age allowed.

2024 Rates

• 2 night minimum stay

• Standard Rate $400 per weeknight night / $550 per night Thursday - Saturday

Please contact us for SPECIAL EVENT rates (Ole Miss football weekends, Ole Miss Baseball regional tournament, Ole Miss graduation, Double Decker Art Festival, Holidays -  $700 - $1500.00 per night)   

• Cleaning Fee : $120

• Damage Deposit: $500

• Tax Rate: 9%

A rental contract will be emailed to you to confirm a reservation and a copy of driver license is required.  50% of total fees is due at the time of the confirmation of the reservation, and the balance is due 4 weeks prior to the arrival date.   

We accept personal checks or payment through PayPal (account not required). 

Cancellation  -  (We strongly suggest that guest purchase CFAR - cancel for any reason travel insurance.)

• 100% refund less $250 if cancelled at least 60 days before arrival date.

• No refund if cancelled less than 60 days before arrival date.
